Chapter 10: It is permissible for a father to arrange the marriage of a young virgin
باب تَزْوِيجِ الأَبِ الْبِكْرَ الصَّغِيرَةَ

Narrated 'A'isha
'A'isha (Allah be pleased with her) reported that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) married her when she was six years old, and he (the Holy Prophet ) took her to his house when she was nine, and when he (the Holy Prophet) died she was eighteen years oldوَحَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى، وَإِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، وَأَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ وَأَبُو كُرَيْبٍ قَالَ يَحْيَى وَإِسْحَاقُ أَخْبَرَنَا وَقَالَ الآخَرَانِ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنِ الأَسْوَدِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ تَزَوَّجَهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَهْىَ بِنْتُ سِتٍّ وَبَنَى بِهَا وَهْىَ بِنْتُ تِسْعٍ وَمَاتَ عَنْهَا وَهْىَ بِنْتُ ثَمَانَ عَشْرَةَ .
